rose to be a Lieutenant. In the wilds of Canada these pioneer parents of William Osier laboured under incredible hardships and Rev. Osier used to hold services in 20 different places over a territory of 2000 sq. miles. At some out-of-way places the date of next service would be announced 6 months or more ahead and the congregation would be there without any further notice. William Osier's punctuality was probably inspired by his father.
